See? There it is. DOWER is an archaic term for a widow's share of her husband's estate. A noun, not an adjective. The word you intended may have been DOUR. I don't know anymore.

I love you guys and all, but don't you have a spell-checker?? Maybe an editor or something? Gandhi has an N. Really. Look it up. Earlier this week, in a bit about Seattle seceding, you referred to teenagers as DOWER. That hasn't been a word since Middle English. You mean, I believe, DOUR. Please - look twice before you post. Do it for the children. The, ahem, old, DOUR, pinched, grammatically correct, nasty-librarian children.
