My Comments
People will always ignorantly associate everything pre-1970 from the South with racism. People still think the Civil War was mainly over slavery, that the North was against slavery on moral grounds, and that the Rebel flag and "Dixie" are by definition racist. Anti-Southern sentiments and ignorances are the few prejudices that the so-called "enlightened" Americans still allow... at least in public. I wonder how many of them would visit Memphis a second time.
