< BACK TO Fresh Intelligence Kim Jong-Il's Crazy School Days
• The teacher recalls the young Kim Jong-Il as a "nervous, diffident," and "ordinary" student with few friends, and also as a "young, innocent boy who turned into a monster." • Kim later had his old school blown up "to eliminate potential rivals to his own children." • Kim had his former teacher's wife, children, and grandchildren murdered in a gulag after he was caught talking to a South Korean agent about reuniting with his long-lost sister. He laments that, "To this day, I know nothing of the details of their deaths, of whether they blamed me as they perished." • The memoir alleges that Kim "purified" the city of Pyongyang of all disabled residents overnight just prior to a 1989 festival. • Kim also rid Pyongyang of short people by advertising a drug that would increase people's height, and then shipping respondents to die on uninhabited islands so that "their 'substandard' genes from repeating in a new generation." • While the teacher, now in the U.S., admits he often "imagined killing him [Kim] and then killing myself," he has gotten over his anger: "I no longer loathe him. I pity him. Even though he killed my family, I have already forgiven him." So, Kim Jong-Il = not as nice you think. Spread the word! Obviously just the rantings of a bitter ex-employee.
